Youth Rugby
In 2004, the San Jose Seahawks and Stanford Rugby Clubs created a partnership to provide youth rugby to boys and girls in the Bay Area - the Stanford-Seahawk Minis. The program has steadily grown and we now have over 150 kids participating with an age range of 3 to 14. The younger kids get to learn skills and experience the game in a friendly minimal-contact atmosphere while as the ages increase more and more contact is introduced in a safe, supervised environment.
The experienced coaching staff combined with the world class facilities at Stanford's Steuber Rugby Stadium give the kids an introduction to The Game They Play In Heaven that will last a lifetime. Registration is open and the program is growing in leaps and bounds - in 2007 the Stanford-Seahawk Minis expanded to include our first all girls team.
Practices are held Sundays from noon to 2pm at Stanford.
